Michael Jordan Dyck

I was born and raised in Steinbach, Manitoba. When I was in grade twelve, I attended St. John’s-Ravenscourt School in Winnipeg and I lived at the school as part of the boarding program. After I graduated in 2005, I attended the University of Manitoba and completed my Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. Much to my surprise, I won the Gold Medal in 2008 for having the highest overall GPA of any student in the Bachelor of Arts (General) program. I started law school in the fall of 2008 at Robson Hall at the University of Manitoba. I graduated in 2011 with a Juris Doctor and I received my Call to the Bar on June 21, 2012. After dreaming of becoming a lawyer since grade 9, it finally happened.

Professional Life

I completed my articles with a criminal defence firm in Winnipeg and worked there briefly. In April 2014, I joined Tom Rees as an associate with his firm, Tom Rees Law Corporation. It wasn’t long before I became a partner with Tom and now the firm is Rees Dyck Rogala Law Offices. I am a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Manitoba Bar Association, and an Executive on the Criminal Justice section. I am passionate about providing clients with superior service and detailed legal information. I pride myself in staying in excellent contact with my clients. I work hard to explore every legal issue and strive for the best possible result for clients. Personal Life

I married my wonderful wife Samantha Plett in 2009 and I couldn’t be happier today. We live in St. Boniface with two wonderful kids. I am a bit of an Apple fanatic (my iPhone is usually within arm's reach and I am subscribed to multiple Apple blogs). In my spare time I enjoy visiting with family, watching TV shows (mainly Seinfeld), movies, and playing video games (with our without my kids - both are good). I recently became a Board Member with a fantastic little environmental non-profit called Save Our Seine.
